Tip: Vijf gratis ebooks

Cured – Diana Clarke
“The year is 2118. The only life on earth resides in New Zealand, the sole land left standing after WWIII destroyed the planet. There is still life, but they’re not human. In an attempt to prevent any further war, law states that all humans must be Cured. On the year of one’s 18th birthday, he or she is required to attend the Curing. At the ceremony, each recipient must swallow a mind-altering pill, The Cure. The pill turns humans into robots, machines, Norms, leaving them brain-dead in all but one area of expertise. They must work the rest of their lives in the Field that the Cure has determined as their most gifted area.
The Fields is the area surrounding Mount Olympia. It is where the Norms live and work. The land is divided into five segments: one for each Field. Manual, Artistic, Linguistic, Mathematic, Scientific. The Norms don’t mind their lives in the Fields, working endless hours under vigilant supervision with no autonomy or independence. They don’t know any different. If one is artistic, they know art, and only art. They communicate with other artists. Live with other artists. They are no longer allowed to interact with members of other Fields. Birds of a feather flock together – it prevents rebellion.
There are a lucky few who react differently to The Cure. The pill heightens not only one aspect of their brain, but every aspect, leaving them superhuman. Primes.

Spectacle – S.J. Pierce
Two hundred years after the Great Disaster, the day earthquakes ravaged Earth’s landscapes, humanity has finally regrouped and is working toward a better future. But in New America – one of three remaining landmasses – overpopulation makes a better future seem bleaker by the year.
Mira (Mirabella) Foster and her parents are citizens of New America, and with the threat of starvation and disease looming on the horizon, a new discovery threatens to push everyone to the brink of chaos: blue markings develop on people’s skin. Markings that allow them to camouflage their skin, but also make them feared, and eventually, targets of violence.
Mira’s dad is one of them.
 “

Planet Urth – Jennifer &Christopher Martucci
“More than two hundred years into the future, human beings are an endangered species. The planet has been battered by war, its inhabitants plagued by disease and death. Few humans survived and remained unaffected. Most changed dramatically and evolved into something else entirely. Irrevocable alterations caused by chemical warfare have created a new species. North America is in ruins and has been overtaken. Humanity has fallen at the hands of mutants known as Urthmen.
Seventeen year-old Avery is alive and unchanged. But she has not been immune to the harshness of the new world. She has lived on the run for much of her life, in terror.  After losing her father, Avery is the sole guardian of her eight-year-old sister, June. Avery is now charged with June’s safety as well as her own, a nearly impossible task. Forced to hide deep in the forest and away from the cities overrun by Urthmen, Avery and her sister are constantly hunted. Danger awaits them at every turn. They fear they are the only human beings left, that they are the last of their kind. But are they truly alone?

Open Minds – Susan Kaye Quinn
“When everyone reads minds, a secret is a dangerous thing to keep.
Sixteen-year-old Kira Moore is a zero, someone who can’t read thoughts or be read by others. Zeros are outcasts who can’t be trusted, leaving her no chance with Raf, a regular mindreader and the best friend she secretly loves. When she accidentally controls Raf’s mind and nearly kills him, Kira tries to hide her frightening new ability from her family and an increasingly suspicious Raf. But lies tangle around her, and she’s dragged deep into a hidden world of mindjackers, where having to mind control everyone she loves is just the beginning of the deadly choices before her.”

Proximity – M.A. George
She’s an alien whose home world doesn’t even know she exists.
He just inherited a planet, and now he’s running from it.
She has spent a lifetime hiding in plain sight.
He wants to escape the spotlight.
Her touch can heal.
His wounds are deep.
Two hearts, two planets collide. It’s the perfect union.
Except the part where the world’s about to end.
